AFTER-SCHOOL PROGRAM

 

EMS offers an academic after-school tutoring program for students who need extra help with their coursework. The program begins after Labor Day and ends one week before the last day of school. Tutoring sessions are held from 2:45 pm to 3:25 pm on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays. On Tuesdays and Thursdays, students receive help from their classroom teachers; on Wednesdays, support is provided by AmeriCorps paraprofessionals.

 

Participation in the After-School Program is a privilege. All students who stay for tutoring must be in a class and actively receiving help. Repeated violations of school or program rules may result in loss of this privilege.
