Readers are Leaders at Manti Elementary!

At Manti Elementary, we believe that cultivating a love for reading creates leaders. To support this, we encourage students to read 20 minutes each night, aiming for a total of 400 minutes per month. This initiative is not only about building reading skills but also about fostering a proactive and engaged learning community.

School-Wide Goal

Together, we aim to reach an incredible 1,000,000 minutes of reading by the end of the school year. If we achieve this goal, Mr. Ipson has promised to sleep on the school roof! It's a fun and exciting challenge that requires synergy from everyone at Manti Elementary.

Monthly Reading Challenge

Students who prioritize their reading by logging their minutes on their teacher's log and submitting them on time will earn a special ticket to a monthly celebration! Let's recognize and celebrate those who are "putting first things first" and demonstrating proactive reading habits.

Parent Involvement

Parents, your support is crucial in helping your children succeed. Encourage them to be proactive in their reading and in turning in their monthly minutes. The benefits of reading are immense: it helps children build language skills, expands their understanding of the world, and develops empathy and emotional awareness. Plus, reading together is a wonderful way to bond and connect with your child.
